2012: Welcome to Opera Project's Nineteenth Season

Opera Project is a professional touring company presenting fully staged performances of opera accompanied by chamber orchestra. Now entering its nineteenth season, Opera Project has established an enviable reputation as one of the UK’s leading touring opera companies with performances across a range of festivals and theatres and in a number of the country’s finest gardens.

For 2012 Opera Project will be touring the country with Rossini’s perennial favourite, The Barber of Seville, which opens at the Culross Festival in Fife before continuing to tour throughout the summer. In June the company returns to Longborough Festival Opera where, following the success of The Cunning Little Vixen in 2008, it has been commissioned to stage Janacek’s glorious masterpiece Katya Kabanová, with four performances at the end of June. In July, Opera Project return to West Green House Opera to produce an Italian double-bill of Pergolesi’s La Serva Padrona and Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi. Finally, in October, and following the sell-out success of 2011’s La bohème, the company returns to The Tobacco Factory in Bristol to present eight performances of Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin.

Further details for each of the above productions available shortly.
