2010: Welcome to Opera Project's Seventeenth Season

Opera Project is a professional touring company presenting fully staged performances of opera accompanied by chamber orchestra. Now entering its seventeenth season, Opera Project has established an enviable reputation as one of the UK’s leading touring opera companies with performances across a range of festivals and theatres and in a number of the country’s finest gardens.

For 2010 Opera Project will be revisiting Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte, the opera with which the company made its debut in 1993. This will be a new production, opening at Salisbury’s International Arts Festival before continuing to tour throughout the summer, finishing at St.John’s College, Oxford in September. In July the company returns to Longborough Festival Opera where it has been commissioned to produce Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, which will be sung in Italian with a large cast headed by Linda Richardson in the title role. Then, in August, Opera Project will be reviving its 2005 production of Benjamin Britten’s version of The Beggar’s Opera for the West Green House Music Season in Hampshire. Finally, in October, the company returns to The Tobacco Factory in Bristol to present eight performances of Verdi’s perennial favourite, La Traviata.
